A full agenda and no quorum and so a limited amount of issues covered, which included the following:
- Discussion about the Commission's return on their investment in the September 20, 21 "Women, War & Peace" Conference sponsored by VCU Honors College. The decision of attending members was there was not much, perhaps because of poor publicity resulting in poor attendance.
- New program, VCU Globe, introduced: "VCU Globe is a new living-learning program which prepares Virginia Commonwealth University students to live and work in a 21st-century global environment."

National Convention to be held in Richmond this month. A scheduled for-pay event is a visit to St. John's for a reenactment should bring a crowd to our area. Free on Saturday night is the screening of Chen Defu Documentary: Flying Tigers Made Lifelong Friends (Parts 3-4) about shadow puppetry. - Commission seeking applicants for membership.
